When I heard of shadow flicker I thought, "Woopdy doo."
When I saw the flicker affecting the entire home, that's when I woke up and starting digging into this.
You own your entire property and should get to enjoy every square inch of it without someone turning the lights on and off all evening.
Real people, with real voices, with real experience, in real life have to live with the collateral damage from the choices of their neighbors and politicians. If you don't help now, there is no going back.
Did you know that shadow flicker WILL affect areas up to 10x the height of a turbine. A 650' wind turbine with cast a shadow around 6,500'.
That's 1.25 miles!
Our lights flash on and off 60 times per second. It's typically imperceptible, but these wind turbines will "flicker" the light on your property 1-30 times a second. These frequencies have shown serious health consequences that government agencies deny. Read and decide for yourself.
Temporal light artefacts (TLAs) are undesired effects in the visual perception of a human observer induced by temporal light modulations.
What the heck does that mean?!
It means that we are not designed to see lights or shadows flashing, and there are serious health consequences from it.
READ ABOUT IT.
Germany, a world leader in the wind turbine industry and pushed their own citizens the their limits. They are finally standing up to their government and large companies from destroying their most precious resource: THEIR HOMES.
On the Department of Energy's website, "shadow flicker is rare, occurring in limited locations and for only a few hours each year."
You have to dig deep, past all the cash and the agendas to listen to the people who have been used as guinea pigs.
Please contact the County Supervisors and the Planning and Zoning Commissioner and voice your concerns about Shadow Flicker and the negative impacts our entire community will suffer from. Tell them to make the set backs for wind turbines to be a minimum of 3/4 mile from non-participating land owners property lines and dwellings.
